Mediterranean dip for the barbecue – Our recipe

Mediterraner Dip

Goes well with meat, vegetables or ciabatta and grissini

Staying with the barbecue theme, today we present you with a quick and easy dip that not only goes perfectly with antipasti from the oven, but also with meat or bread and pastries, such as grissini.

You need the following ingredients for the Mediterranean dip:

5 to 6 dried tomatoes (not preserved in oil)

1 small onion
1 clove of garlic
1 – 2 tbsp Italian herbs (fresh or dried)
175 g cream cheese
175 g sour cream
1/2 tsp salt
Pepper to taste

To prepare the dip, you ideally need a strong blender in which you can chop the dried tomatoes, garlic and onion very finely. Alternatively, you can use a chopping board and a large, sharp kitchen knife. Add the herbs, salt and pepper, cream cheese and sour cream to the chopped ingredients. Mix everything together very well and it is best to enjoy it straight away, as the onion releases liquid quite quickly and the water then settles. This doesn’t look so nice, but it doesn’t detract from the taste.

We wish you “an Guatn!”
