Summertime is salad time for us. From our own garden or fresh from the weekly market. Salad is always delicious in summer and there are so many vegetables and fruits that you can add to your salad. For example, have you ever sprinkled apple pieces on your salad? Or fir strawberries? Or pomegranate seeds? Try it out and we promise it won’t be the last time.
However, a good dressing is particularly important for the taste. Today we present one of our favourite recipes:
A summery honey mustard dressing
150 ml white balm vinegar
120 g honey
150 g extra virgin olive oil
100 ml water
2 tsp sea salt
3 tbsp mustard
black pepper to taste
The preparation is wonderfully quick:
Put all the ingredients, except the oil, in a bowl and whisk well. Then add the oil and whisk well again. If you like, you can also add chives or other herbs.
You can also prepare the dressing in a screw-top jar and shake it instead of mixing the ingredients. It can easily be stored in the fridge for a few days.
Mix with the salad ingredients and enjoy a delicious summer salad.
It also goes very well with a delicacy from the grill – whether fish or meat. And freshly baked bread.
