By bike through the Höhlenstein Valley to Landro Lake

From Sesto to Dobbiaco Lake

Being on the road with my mountain bike is pure joy. And I would be happy to take you with me. We start in Sesto on the cycle path to the beautiful Dobbiaco Lake. Loyal blog readers will remember that I was there once before, but the weather was nowhere near as nice as this time.

Continue to the Three-Peaks-View

From Dobbiaco Lake we continued to the Three Peaks View in Landro. The Drei-Zinnen-Blick is the only place in the world from where the imposing north faces of the Drei Zinnen can be seen from the valley. This is truly impressive every time.

The Landro Lake

The tour continued to Landro Lake (Lago di Landro). This is near the upper end of the Höhlensteintal valley at an altitude of 1406 m and was the destination for our well-deserved “Sextener Marende” with Kaminwurzen from the Villgrater butcher’s shop in Sexten and delicious alpine cheese from the Sexten cheese dairy.

After refreshments and a little cooling down, we headed back home. Once again a wonderful tour. You can never get enough of our wonderful South Tyrolean nature.

Many greetings, your
