From Moos to Klammbachalm – a winter hike

Eine Winterwanderung

Enjoy the winter to the fullest and fill up on clear mountain air

Lace up your warm boots – and off you go: Around Sesto you will find a dense network of cleared winter hiking trails that lead you through the snow-covered mountains and forests around Sesto.

Particularly beautiful trails lead through the picturesque Fischleintal valley, into the Innerfeldtal valley or to the Nemes and Klammbachhalm. Here you can breathe clear winter air, enjoy the views and simply relax with a cup of hot chocolate. So simple and beautiful can be the perfect #daheimimmoment in winter.

Today we present you a beautiful hike from Moos to Klammbachalm.

It is a good 5 kilometers long and is considered moderately difficult. You should plan about 2.5 hours for this tour. It is a beautiful circular hike above Moss that is accompanied by a beautiful mountain scenery.

You start in Moos, direction Berghotel. From there, the trail leads you uphill to the Froneben mountain inn at an altitude of 1540m. From there, the trail continues flat and easy on trail no. 139 until you reach trail no. 13. Through dense spruce forests it leads along the gorge of the Sesto stream. As soon as you reach the fork (“Saumahd”), near a high crossroads, keep to the left and continue towards the Klammbachalm.

This hike really offers a magnificent view and a unique beautiful landscape.

Back you go via trail. No. 13, starting from the Klammbachalm via Negerdorf to the Helmhanghütte. Below the Helmhanghütte, you have to cross the downhill slope and go back to Moos via the “Trojerhöfe” (trail no. 3a).

If you do this hike in reverse, you can also stop at the end at the cozy mountain inn Froneben.

We wish you much joy!
