The Passo del Madriccio connects Sulden and the Martell Valley and is known as the ultimate challenge for mountain bikers.
In glorious September weather, I set out on the route, which really demanded a lot of me. Not only because of the technical demands of the route, there were also more than 3,000 metres of altitude to overcome.
But as always, it is the view that is worth all the effort, because you are in the middle of the Ortler area with a view of the highest peaks in the region with their impressive dark rock faces and glaciers.
That was really a real #homemoment again!
