Delicious dumpling variations are served again in the historic town centre of Sterzing
The dumpling is one of the most popular and traditional dishes here in South Tyrol. In Sterzing, the “round dish” will take centre stage at the traditional dumpling festival on 11 September 2022.
One of the most popular events in and around the Fuggerstadt, the Sterzinger Knödelfest is the crowning event of this year’s summer.
A wide variety of dumpling creations are served on a 400-metre long table in the historic town centre in Sterzing’s new and old town as well as on the town square: traditional bacon dumplings, delicious napkin dumplings as well as various mushroom dumplings and sweet dumplings in different variations are on the menu.
In addition to culinary delights, musical and acoustic treats will also be presented on Sunday. You can find an overview of the 70 different dumpling dishes here.
